Pepper Palace – A Review

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DRINK HOT SAUCE, PLEASE USE A CONDIMENT/FLAVORING AGENT

This week we are stepping away from the cold hard facts of Capsicum, and making this a little lighter. This week we are reviewing a store where you can get a variety of sauces for all taste buds and preferences. And as we know from the last few weeks, hot sauce/hot peppers contain capsicum and most hot sauces will be low if not, zero in calories depending on the ingredients being used.

This review is not that of one sauce, but the whole experience in the store. I have been to several of these with my husband in the last few years, and each experience is different and this company is continually growing and expanding, in addition on their website they provide a variety of ways to shop due to preference or dietary restrictions.

However, this last time we were in the store with the owner and she was one of the more knowledge people we have met in these store who knew hot sauce and what we were looking for. Their newest sauce is called “The End: FlatLine” and is described on the website as “This is a warning, and a real warning, not like some of the funny, we-only-sorta-mean-it warnings on our other hot sauces: This is our hottest hot sauce. It combines some of the fiery-est peppers in the world for a blazing, tongue-torching flavor that will burn everything from your tastebuds to your britches. If you’re ready to completely flatline, then this extreme-hot sauce made with reapers, pepper extract, ghost peppers, scorpion peppers, and 7 pot chocolate douglah peppers is for you.” It is the highest they have on the Scoville Scale, therefore we only recommend it in small doses, even to those who have an extremely high tolerance like my husband and me to spice.

Now, I cannot lie, we haven’t located a hot sauce there that we just hate (taking our dietary restrictions into play), however we do find ourselves finding a surprising new like each time, the last few times we were really into the Sweet Reaper which is a good mix of sweet and spicy, but this time we finding ourselves liking the This Is The Sauce, and the name says it all, it is not too spicy, great with flavor and it literally feels like it is THE SAUCE.

Overall, if you are looking for a good place to get some things to spice up your meals and we recommend Pepper Palace, they have yet to disappoint us. This trip alone we came out with 4 bags, money off our next trip, and more knowledge.
